Coal, Coconut Shell and Wood based Activated Carbon

We can supply more than 100 types of activated carbon. The factory has NSF certificated. The activated carbon meets the ASTM standard. There are bituminous coal, lignite coal, anthracite coal, wood and coconut shell based activated carbon.


 1. Bituminous Coal based activated carbon

The bituminous coal based activated carbon has highly developed porous structure and large specific surface, large micropore volume, high hardness, waer and impact resistance and easy regeneration. It has high capacity on the adsorption of organic solutes, free chlorine and harmfull gas in air.

 2. Lignite coal based activated carbon

The carbon made from lignite tend to have a large pore diameter with a higher total pore volume (higher molasses number) that makes better suited for the removal of large color body molecules (removal of large molecular weight from chemical compound) from liquids and the removal of sulphur (Hydrogen Sulfide) from vapors. The carbon gives you greater adsorption capacity, high ignition temperature, lower iodine number plus lower density. Lignite based activated carbon is macroporous. It has 20% more total pore volume than bituminous based coal carbon.


Granular activated carbon produced by steam activation of lignite coal. This grade is specifically manufactured for applications requiring rapid. 12x40 or 8x30 Lignite Based Activated Carbon are a general purpose granular carbon grade used in a variety of applications including purification of fine chemicals and food. 


325 mesh powdered activated carbon used in a purification of water and flue gas emission streams. The Bromine treatment PAC has been proven to be highly effective for the removal of mercury at coal fire power generation. Its open pore structure and fine partice size permit rapid adsorption, which is critical for high performance in flue gas streams where contact times are short less than 2 seconds. Our sample has been tested at the SaskPower, Canada. 3. Anthratics Coal Based Activated Carbon

Pallet activated carbon can be supplied from the range of 0.8mm till 4.0mm in diameters. This series carbon is made of high standard “Taixi” anthracite, processed through grinding, mixture, extrusion, carbonization and steam activation etc. Due to the high mechanical hardness, highly developed porous structure and huge specific surface area, its can be widely used in both of gas-phase and fluid-phase purification and absorption, catalyst carrier, poison proof and security protection.

4. Coconut Shell based Activated Carbon

Using mainly qualified coconut shell as raw material, this series of activated carbon are made through physical activation inSlep furnace. The products possess such privileges as well-developed void construction, high intensity, low impurity content, regular grain size, little resistance, easy regeneration, etc.

The products are very effective in water purification. It can be widely used in filling several of water treatment equipment, and in decolorization and refinement of sugar and soft drinking water, and indoor/outdoor air purification. Especially the activated carbon added with special ingredient is very effective in purifying indoor hazardous air such as ammonia, formaldehyde, etc.

Activated carbons are being increasingly used in the field of hydrometallurgy for the recovery of gold and silver and otherinorganic and as catalysts and catalyst supports. The carbon granules were directly added to the cyanide pulp and moved countercurrent to it. The gold-loaded carbon was recovered by screening. The applicability of the process is further enhanced by the availability of large quantities of more suitable activated carbons with large surface areas and varied porous structures.

5. Wood based Powder Activated Carbon

Forest wood as raw material, different types of activated carbon are produced by physical and chemical methods. The high quality wood based activated carbon is a special fine microstructure, characterized by fine micropore, large surface area, high adherence strength, and fast filtering speed.

Wood-base activated carbon is made by treatment of phosphorus acid, water steam and zinc chloride. It’s mainly used in potable water, treatment of industrial and residential wastewater, sweetener color removal, medicine and chemistry fields.

6. Carbon Fibre

Activated carbon fibre is made of non-woven cloth with base material of natural fibre, chemical fibre or compounded fibre and activated carbon. It has both characteristics of cloth and carbon, such as strength, flexible and durability.

We supply both Conductive and Non-conductive activated carbon fibres.


It is used widely for air  and water purification. It can be used for air purifying to absorb the volatile organic compound such as methylene, toluene, hydrogen sulfide, chlorobenzene and contaminant in the air. It has the features of smell air resistance and low energy consumption. It ca deodorize and clear out the foreign taste for the environment purification under certain with the ideal purifying results.


Size: The media is available in rolls and cut to size pieces as your requirement. The standard media comes in 2mm, 5mm, 8-10mm
